Private beta · draft for counsel review
Privacy Policy
Effective August 10, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Parquet’s operator (“Parquet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use Parquet’s websites, applications, NBA research tools, historical simulations, personal bet-record features, assistant, feedback tools, and account controls (the “Service”). It does not govern third-party sportsbooks, linked websites, or data providers.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, account timestamps, beta-access status, and role.
- Information you provide: bets you choose to record, historical simulation choices, feedback, support messages, and assistant prompts.
- Derived information: descriptive betting-pattern segments, performance summaries, product preferences, and other insights generated from your records.
- Usage and device information: feature activity, page context, approximate request metadata, browser or device information made available by the host, security events, request identifiers, and diagnostic logs.
- Administrative information: access-control changes, moderation or support actions, feature-control changes, and audit records.
Parquet does not connect to sportsbook accounts, place wagers, accept wagering funds, or intentionally collect sportsbook passwords, payment-card numbers, government identifiers, or precise location in the current beta. Please do not submit those details through feedback or assistant prompts.
3. Sources of information
We receive information directly from you, automatically from your interaction with the Service and its hosting infrastructure, from authentication and storage providers, and from public or licensed NBA research sources. Sports data about professional athletes is not treated as a user’s account information merely because it appears in the Service.
4. How we use information
- Provide accounts, private bet tracking, historical Test Drive, descriptive behavioral insights, and requested research features.
- Authenticate users, enforce permissions, prevent abuse, rate-limit requests, investigate security events, and protect the Service.
- Respond to feedback, provide support, debug errors, measure feature performance, and improve the beta.
- Comply with law, exercise or defend legal rights, enforce the Terms, and maintain operational records.
- Create aggregated or de-identified statistics that do not reasonably identify an individual.
5. Assistant and AI processing
Personal betting history is not sent to the free third-party generative-assistant path. If an external AI provider is configured and you use the assistant, Parquet may send your prompt together with public NBA or current page context needed to answer it. Do not include passwords, payment information, government identifiers, or other unnecessary sensitive information. Deterministic on-device or server-side answers may be used when no external provider is configured.
6. How information is disclosed
We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Service providers: hosting, authentication, database, security, monitoring, and optional AI vendors that process information for Parquet.
- Legal and safety purposes: comply with valid legal process, protect users or the public, investigate fraud or abuse, and enforce agreements.
- Business transactions: evaluate or complete a financing, merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and applicable notice requirements.
- At your direction: when you intentionally request a disclosure or provide consent.
Parquet does not currently sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. It does not provide personal betting history to sportsbooks. If these practices change, we will update this Policy and provide legally required choices before the change applies.
7. Retention
User-owned bet records, simulation records, feedback, and account information generally remain until you delete them or close your account, unless a shorter period is configured or longer retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or an active dispute. Product activity is scheduled for deletion after 13 months. Rate-limit records are short-lived. Account deletion removes the authentication account and user-owned records; limited audit or security records may remain in de-identified form or where legally necessary. Backup copies may persist temporarily until ordinary backup rotation completes.
8. Your controls and privacy rights
Signed-in users can export their account data and request permanent account deletion from the account panel. You may also correct certain account details, choose what bets to record, and avoid using the external assistant path. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights to access, correct, delete, receive, restrict, or object to certain processing, or appeal a denied request. We may verify your identity before completing a request and may retain information where an exception applies. Submit requests through the in-app feedback form during the beta.
9. Local storage and similar technology
Parquet may use browser storage, authentication tokens, and similar technology to keep you signed in, remember preferences, preserve drafts, distinguish first-time experiences, and protect the Service. The current beta does not use this information for third-party behavioral advertising. Blocking essential storage may prevent account or product features from working.
10. Security
Parquet uses measures designed for the current beta, including encrypted transport, private deployments, row-level database security, role-based administration, server-only secrets, request limits, security headers, dependency scanning, and audit controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur. Report suspected account compromise through the in-app feedback form.
11. Children and minimum age
The Service is not directed to children and is limited to users who are at least 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
12. International use
The private beta is designed for approved United States testers. If you access it from another jurisdiction, information may be processed in the United States or other locations used by our providers. Public availability outside the United States requires additional legal and transfer-mechanism review.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when the Service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version and update the effective date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent before materially different processing where applicable law requires it.
14. Contact
Submit privacy questions, rights requests, and deletion problems through the in-app feedback form during the private beta. Parquet must add its operating legal entity, mailing address, and dedicated privacy email here before public launch.
